Meet the next 2 students in the bakers of the future series Ophelia Tilly & Chloe Crossland from Sheffield University.
The best bakery product I have ever eaten is a Chocolate Cross - Laminated Croissants

1). Why did you choose to become a baker?
Because it’s the one thing I’ve always been passionate about and to have my own bakery would be my dream job
2). What is your favourite product to make?
More of the savoury products, breads, loaves, sourdoughs, bloomers, Polishes.
3). If you could create the ultimate bakery item – what would that be?
Chocolate Sourdough Pain au Chocolat
4). What are you career plans for the future?
Moving through to finishing my Level 6 - Degree

Ophelia Tilly - Level 4, 3rd year
1). Why did you choose to become a baker?
All I ever did at home was bake with my Grandma ( Scones) and my ideal job would be travelling with work or your own bakery.
2). What is your favourite product to make?
Puff pastry and lamination. Also I really enjoy making the layered Entremet patisserie desserts.
3). What is the best bakery item you have ever eaten?
Either Pierre Herme Macarons or Raspberry and white chocolate Entremet.
4). What are you career plans for the future?
Level 5 , Go to Paris to study or work and travel with my skills.
If I was creating my ultimate bakery item it would be something with elderflower, puff pastry. Like a pinwheel!
