At Belcolade, we take concrete actions to enhance sustainability towards the chocolate industry. In line with our purpose, we will reduce the amount of single-use plastic in our operations and make all packaging materials fully recyclable by 2025.
Soon available globally, all Belcolade’s packaging will become 100% recycle-ready. This initiative will not only help reduce Belcolade’s overall environmental footprint, but it will also encourage and enable our customers to recycle packaging materials, thereby reducing their own climate impact.
How to spot your recycle-ready packaging ? Follow the logo and you will know
Sustainable and 100% recycle-ready packaging materials, will be highlighted by the “04 PE” icon on 15kg and 5kg bags back side and by the ”20 PAP” icon on the cardboard boxes; so you will know how recognize them easily.
Selected packaging types will benefit from additional improvements such as paper certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and an ink reduction, as well as a more sustainable production process and less energy used.
While being more sustainable, our packaging will maintain the highest level of Quality guaranteeing freshness and taste preservation for our ingredients, and food safety.
As part of an overall renewal of Belcolade’s packaging, these more sustainable new packaging are also adopting a distinctive new look, with a fresh, modern and bold new style, in line with the new Belcolade identity.
